Figure 1 - Users are now unblocked in the AD when their timesheets are fully filled
Cause
A problem was found when the user was being unblocked in the AD. Only users blocked for more than 1 day were experiencing this issue.
- Users were being correctly blocked due to the missing of timesheets
- The flag "Is Blocked in AD" is marked
- The day after the user was blocked, he still had timesheets to fill
- When the system was verifying if he should be blocked, the flag that indicates his blocking status was being wrongly cleared, i.e. ahead of time, which caused the AD to not be informed
After filling in the timesheets the users were not being unblocked because the AD flag was wrongly cleared and so it didn't communicate at the right time to the AD about their unblocked status.
Prevent Future Issues
- The unblocking rules were reviewed
- It was added more automated tests
- When the user fills in hours, the AD is informed to unblock the user

- Timesheets required active
- Daily or Weekly timesheet blocking
- AD Blocking active
Proposed Tests
- Log in with a blocked user
- Enter required timesheets
- Verify that the user is unblocked from the Enterprise Active directory
Historical Data
- IT was requested to manually unblock affected users
