Between 20 May 2019 and 21 May 2019, some users received large amounts of duplicated e-mail notifications.
Upon receiving reports from our users our engineers identified the issue and rolled out a fix to our backend notification service.
Our engineers identified an issue where on some situations our notification engine failed to mark notifications as already sent to the user thus leading this notifications to be sent over and over.
This issue was not caught by our test suite, and as such made it into production.
We understand the impact these issues have on our customers and that's why Skills Workflow is committed on continuously improving our platform.
The issue on the backend service was fixed and the test suite was updated accordingly.
Additionally, the service now has a safeguard when a notification is sent, all previous notifications are forcibly marked as sent as well.
